    BIKE HIRE FAQ'S

Yes, pre-booking is required. It guarantees availability, means you've prepaid, and your equipment will be ready when you arrive so there's no need to queue. We can't guarantee stock or correct sizing for walk-ins on the day, so pre-booking is essential.

Pricing depends on the bike and size — from £5 for balance bikes up to £12 for adult mountain bikes, with children's bikes at £10. The easiest way to see exact pricing is by selecting your bike on our booking page.

Hire is a minimum of two hours, with each extra hour charged at 50% of the two-hour rate. For example, an adult bike for 3 hours is £18, and for 4 hours is £24.

We stock pedal bikes ranging from 14" wheels up to large adult mountain bikes with 27.5" wheels, plus everything in between.

Helmets are not included and must be hired separately, though you're welcome to bring your own. A helmet is required to ride anywhere at the venue, so if you don't have one, please hire one alongside your bike.

No. All hire equipment must remain within the venue and can only be used within the designated riding areas.

Hire is available for a minimum of two hours and a maximum of six hours. Bike hire opening times are 10am–8:30pm on weekdays and 10am–4:30pm on weekends.

On bank holidays, hours are reduced, with the last hire at 3:30pm. Bike hire is suspended entirely during site-wide events.

There's no set minimum age — access is based on ability rather than age. To hire a two-wheeled pedal bike, riders must be able to cycle unaided, as none of our bikes have stabilisers. Balance bikes are available for ages 2+, for use in the Play Park and Cyclo Land only.

Children cannot book bikes themselves, as this requires agreeing to our terms and conditions — a parent or guardian must book and pay in advance. Under-8s must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding, and if they wish to ride the full track, their accompanying adult will also need to hire a bike. Under-12s must have an adult on-site at the venue, though not necessarily riding alongside them.

No ID or deposit is required at collection — simply bring the QR code from your booking for us to scan, and we'll have your details ready on file.

Email reception@cyclopark.com with your booking details and our team will help you amend or cancel it. Refunds are available if cancelled with sufficient notice.

Yes, as long as you can ride confidently and unaided. Cyclopark is a safe, enclosed, traffic-free venue with staff and first aid on-site.

Our 2.5km road circuit is designed for racing and includes fast corners, downhill sections and steep climbs, while our 6km of single-track mountain bike trails are fairly tame, giving beginners space to get comfortable. Staff will show you how to use your bike, including the brakes and gears, and what to do if anything goes wrong.

All bikes are pedal bikes, apart from our balance bikes, and none have stabilisers. Every bike has gears and brakes.

Adult bikes come with suspension, as do some of our children's bikes. All bikes are mountain or hybrid bikes — we don't currently stock any full-suspension or road bikes.
