The power of Movement:
Our Collaborative Approach
Movement Not Meds is built on a whole-system model designed to create lasting, positive health change. Our programme brings together three key partners, each playing a vital role in supporting healthier lives:
GP Practices (Programme Participant Identifiers)
Local GPs — incl Dr. Manpinder Sahota, Senior Partner at Pelham Medical Practice — identify at-risk children and adults and prescribe movement opportunities. This holistic, lifestyle-focused approach has already helped many patients reduce their reliance on medication.
Cyclopark Charity (Movement Specialists)
As movement experts, we deliver inclusive, high-quality experiences that inspire people of all ages and abilities to get active, whether on two feet or two wheels. Many participants describe Cyclopark as feeling like a supportive and welcoming family.
Canterbury Christ Church University (Nutrition Experts)
Our academic partners provide research-driven insight and nutrition expertise, helping participants build healthier habits and achieve sustainable behaviour change. Together, we create a powerful, evidence -based pathway to improved physical and mental wellbeing.

Our Stand On Movement Not Meds
Our Movement Not Meds programme is all about helping people take positive steps toward feeling better — both physically and mentally. It’s designed for anyone whose health may be affected by things like being overweight, having a sedentary lifestyle, or living with depression or anxiety.
We focus on building healthy habits that last — like moving more each day, eating well, and finding balance. These small, consistent changes can make a big difference to your overall wellbeing and, in some cases, may even help reduce the need for certain medications over time.
That said, it’s really important to be clear: we never encourage anyone to stop or avoid taking prescribed medication. If you’re receiving treatment — your medication is a vital part of your care and recovery.
Our programme is here to work alongside your medical treatment, not replace it. We’re here to help you move more, feel stronger, and live healthier — one step at a time.
