Our clinic is all about building strength, boosting your metabolism, and keeping your bones healthy as estrogen levels drop, with expert instructor guidance!

Why Weight Training Is so Important When Experiencing The Menopause:
When experiencing the menopause, women often tend to lose muscle mass and gain abdominal fat around perimenopause and menopause.
Regular weight training helps boost your metabolism and stimulate muscle building cells!
Weight training also helps provide the strength building stimulus women need as estrogen declines.
By introducing heavy weights into your exercise regime, bone loss can be slowed down and help lower the risk of fractures and osteoporosis.
Don’t forget that exercising regularly also boosts your mood and helps combat depression!

4-Week Clinic Breakdown
Clinics occur throughout the year, with two different day options. Sessions take place on either a Tuesday or a Saturday.The clinic occurs across 4 consecutive weeks, on the day that have selected. You must attend all 4 sessions to complete the clinic!
Week 1: Upper & Lower Body
We start with the basics—introducing key strength exercises for both the upper and lower body, such as squats, lunges, presses, and rows. The focus is on learning proper form, building confidence with free weights, and understanding how each movement supports your strength and mobility during menopause.
Week 2: Resistance & Cable Machines
Week 2 is all about getting comfortable with gym equipment. You’ll learn how to safely use resistance and cable machines to work different muscle groups, giving you more variety in your training and helping you feel confident navigating the gym!
Week 3: Using Different Muscle Groups
With the foundations in place, we’ll introduce supersets—pairing exercises to work different muscles back-to-back for an efficient, full-body workout. You’ll also gain a better understanding of how to train specific muscle groups and increase the challenge in your sessions.
Week 4: Writing Your Own Workout
In the final week, you’ll bring everything together by learning how to design your own strength training routine. We’ll guide you through choosing the right exercises, reps, and structure so you can continue training independently with clarity and confidence!

We even provide helpful handouts that participants can take home with them to allow them to learn more about the exercises they’ll learn throughout the clinic!

Before I attended Cyclopark…
“I had been battling breast cancer for a year, all my treatment finished in December 2021. I was then diagnosed with Osteopenia due to my treatment and was recommended to do strength building. This was very scary for me as I’ve never really done weights before and I had no confidence after my treatment due to putting on weight and being weak, but this was something I had To do to help me.”

“I joined Cyclopark as it was a small and friendly gym. I thought I would feel better there as I tried to build my strength. The thing is I didn’t really know what I was doing so I booked in with one of the fitness instructors to write me a program and found this extremely helpful with Kellie making me really feel comfortable. I used the program at the gym about three times a week which was great. I also signed up for the menopause weight training course, this helped me even more to learn about weights and how to use them properly and build my confidence. The people on the course were amazing too. Once I felt more comfortable, I started doing other classes like HIIT. I have been doing this now for a year and half and lost one and a half stone.
